Long Beach MD-11 Poster
Poster size is 14" wide by 20" tall, including a one-inch white border, and is printed on heavyweight, acid-free poster stock.
Sporting 1991 McDonnell Douglas house colors, the second MD-11 to be built flies over the famous plant sign at Long Beach in this new Jet Age Art print illustrated by Chris Bidlack. The only MD-11 to carry the full McDonnell Douglas house livery, N211MD was later converted and delivered as a freighter to FedEx, after the completion of the testing and certification process.
McDonnell Douglas had altered their Long Beach sign in 1980 (from "Fly DOUGLAS" to "Fly DC JETS"), as is reflected in this illustration. (The other three posters in Chris's Long Beach series reflect the older sign's wording.)
